Living as disciples of Jesus Christ

Faith Explorations

Faith Explorations of Waterloo First United Methodist Church is a self-supporting extension of the adult education program. This program began in 2005 and is an annual weekend event in which a nationally-known author and lecturer presents theological, environmental, or social topics with traditional and non-traditional viewpoints. The weekend features lectures, question and answer sessions, reception, book signing and Cokesbury book sales. Our past presenters have included Jonathon Reed, Barbara Rossing, John Dominic Crossan (2nd appearance) and Marcus Borg, and most recently, Amy-Jill Levine. This event is open to the public and supported through registration fees and individual gifts to Faith Explorations.
