Workshop for Others...

We continue to organize and sort through fabric and supplies. Recently several bags and boxes of fabric we were unable to use were taken to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. We were fortunate to have had new shelving installed in the closet where our fabric is stored. In addition, on another positive note, we have had a couple of new women attend our gab/sewing sessions!! We are preparing items for the layette kits and sewing school bags for the Fall In Gathering held in November.   At this time we are asking for donations of baby undershirts and baby washcloths so that we can complete our kits. A basket will be set out for your donations in Hartman Hall. Below is a list of items needed for each kit. Anything you would care to donate would be great or a gift of money so the items can be purchases is very much appreciated. Please indicate the money is to go toward MISSION KITS . Bundle the items inside one of the receiving blankets and secure with the diaper pins.

6 cloth diapers
2 shirts or 2 one-piece body suits
2 baby washcloths
2 gowns or sleepers
2 diaper pins
1 sweater open in the front
2 receiving blankets

Feed My Starving Children Event...

The Missions Committee is supporting the Feed My Starving Children food packing event being hosted by Westminster Presbyterian on October 18, 19, and 20. There are several time slots available on each of these dates. If you would like to help pack nutritious meals for the world's neediest children, please review the flier and select the date and time that works best for you. Then call or e-mail Kimberly to let her know the date and time you select. Kimberly can be reached at 235-7088 or wfumckimberly@msn.com.

The Missions Committee goal is to involve at least 10% of our membership. This is a fun way to help a great cause. All ages (from 3rd grade on) are welcome to participate!

Thanks in advance for your support.
